Nothing says autumn like a stack of books and plenty of candlelight. Kate and Sheldon, our DIY couple, incorporated a literary theme throughout their decor with books and blooms in the centrepieces and an inventive use of library cards. A rich, saturated colour palette of burgundy, navy, and cream was used in the florals. Roses, berries, astilbe, orchids and calla lilies fit the season perfectly. Guests were greeted by the warmth of the fireplace with a beautiful wooden mantle in the white washed farm building at Cave Spring’s Retreat. The intimate and romantic ceremony was followed by a cozy reception in the cellar at The Inn On The Twenty. Thanks to Gemini Photography for the gorgeous photos.

Sophistication & simplicity perfectly describe Sarah & Kevin’s style. The silver & white palette, loads of candlelight, and statement glass vessels created a dazzling effect in the classic Grand Georgian Ballroom at Queen’s Landing Hotel. Sarah & Kevin were in sync with their ideas during the whole planning process, with a very clean and crisp design in mind. Arriving in style, Sarah pulled up in a white Rolls Royce from Community Transport Group. Kevin and his twin brother in their navy suits, Sarah and her sister both in white, another example of the thoughtfulness in design.  The ceremony in The Pillar and Post’s Rose Garden was perfection, green and lush, the white chivari chairs were perfect for a garden wedding. The reception incorporated more white details with the backdrop provided Simply Beautiful Decor, we loved the mixture of harvest and round tables. Liquid Entertainment set the mood with white uplighting, and had the guests dancing up a storm before dinner was even served! No detail was overlooked in Sarah & Kevin’s wedding, from the symmetry in the tower of white iced cupcakes, to the perfectly aligned floating candle wall. Thank you to Gemini Photography for these stunning photos.

As an interior designer, Erin had a very clear vision of the flowers she wanted to compliment her vineyard wedding. From the earthy bridesmaid’s bouquets to the quirky boutonnieres for Matt & his groomsmen, this wedding captured romance, warmth, and old world charm perfectly. Erin & Matt exchanged vows underneath the big tree, hung with our white lanterns and encircled by gold chiavari chairs. We loved Erin’s lacy Jenny Packham gown, the perfect style for some candid portrait shots in the vineyard!

After a few meetings with mom and daughter Katie, I was so excited to start working on her peony-filled wedding. I loved the simplicity of a wedding with no bridal party, and the under-stated dress which really suited Katie’s style. The hot pink flowers were definitely a great compliment to Press Alley with all the concrete and steel, bringing life and beauty to such an industrial space. And look how cute the groomsman looks in his polka-dot bowtie!

One of my favourite weddings! Captured by Gemini Photography, Britney & Bobby’s wedding was glamorous in the truest sense of the word.

Britney: “We like to refer to our wedding as the ‘Victorian Love Affair’. We chose the breathtaking historic Prince of Wales which was especially meaningful to us because we got engaged in Queenston Heights Park in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and because it is close to the Canadian and American border, representing the final steps in closing the gap between us and our 9 year long distance love affair. “

When Nicole from Enchanted Elegance Events was designing her new website, she reached out to me to participate in a creative shoot with photographer Anthony Selah, who then provided me with these stunning photos.

Designers love it when they’re able to create without restrictions. The bouquet I designed included one of my favourite flowers. This almost neon pink celosia with an orange edge provided the focal point along with a rich dahlia. The remaining flowers were in a soft pink palette and included, snowberry, spray roses, astilbe and stock flower. I finished the design with cascading pieris japonica.
