Elegance and glamour are the keywords for this Chateau Des Charmes wedding. Our beautiful bride, Lisa, prepped at the White Oaks resort, choosing a bold red lip, classic eyeliner and a soft vintage wavy hair style. The invitations were matched perfectly with the theme of this wedding, 1920’s glamour.
Our groom, Shawn, first saw his bride at the Chateau, standing above the room where they would later exchange vows. We loved the groomsmen dressed in their military uniforms, formidable and very handsome. The vibrant red hue of the uniforms was the perfect pop of colour in this couples ceremony. Their grand exit was just that – they walked under an arch of sabres!
Wedding guests were treated to an elegant affair with a live 5 piece band and opulent decor by Simply Beautiful in deep shades of gold combined with black sequined linen, and just the right amount of feathers. So unique! The grooms saber was used for the cake cutting ceremony, another distinct reflection of our couples style.
The reception was a lively soiree, with our newlyweds kicking off the evening with a choreographed first dance. The bride transformed into a flapper right out of the 20’s in her gorgeous silver sequined gown and dancin’ shoes! Capturing all the magic was Gemini Photography. What a night!
This couple got so lucky with the weather for their November wedding. Jesse was such a lovely bride to deal with, and every time I saw her during the day she had such a beautiful smile. Her father and I chatted when I delivered the boutonnieres, talking about his experience growing orchids and how important it was to include them in Jesse’s bouquet. We loved how inviting and warm the room looked, with beautiful gold sequinned linens on the receiving table. Jess included her own personal touches with her adorable DIY signage on the guestbook tables! Afterglow Images did an amazing job creating the setting for their first look.
