Here’s a beautiful fall day at Chateau des Charmes that we worked on last September! We were thrilled when we found out that the talented photographers at Mango Studios would be capturing this, as it was a lovely wedding to design for. Using a mix of interesting colours and textures for this time of year was such a treat, and we just loved the ceremony overlooking the beautiful vineyards.

Elegance and glamour are the keywords for this Chateau Des Charmes wedding. Our beautiful bride, Lisa, prepped at the White Oaks resort, choosing a bold red lip, classic eyeliner and a soft vintage wavy hair style. The invitations were matched perfectly with the theme of this wedding, 1920’s glamour.

Our groom, Shawn, first saw his bride at the Chateau, standing above the room where they would later exchange vows. We loved the groomsmen dressed in their military uniforms, formidable and very handsome. The vibrant red hue of the uniforms was the perfect pop of colour in this couples ceremony. Their grand exit was just that – they walked under an arch of sabres!

Wedding guests were treated to an elegant affair with a live 5 piece band and opulent decor by Simply Beautiful in deep shades of gold combined with black sequined linen, and just the right amount of feathers. So unique! The grooms saber was used for the cake cutting ceremony, another distinct reflection of our couples style.

The reception was a lively soiree, with our newlyweds kicking off the evening with a choreographed first dance. The bride transformed into a flapper right out of the 20’s in her gorgeous silver sequined gown and dancin’ shoes! Capturing all the magic was Gemini Photography. What a night!

Melissa & Nathan were counting on an outdoor ceremony, but it was a little too cool and too wet outside. But that didn’t stop them from having the beautiful autumn wedding they were dreaming of! The tent at Château des Charmes looked magical, with long harvest tables, lace runners, and mahogany Chivari chairs by Simply Beautiful Decor. Sweet Celebrations made the most adorable pink macaroon favours, fitting perfectly with Melissa’s blush dress! One of our favourite parts about this wedding were the cute little DIY’s that Melissa’s elementary school students created for her. She asked them each to describe “what it means to be married”, and displayed the responses on the guestbook table. So adorable!
